This blog will cover aircraft movements, happenings and news at Long Beach Airport along with historical information now and again. I will also feature news on JetBlue Airways since they are the largest airline at LGB and the airline I work for. Any and all spotting reports from LGB are welcome. You can email me at kodachromeguy@yahoo.com with any information.

Columbia Helicopters BV-234 Chinook P2-CHK stops at LGB
Columbia Helicopters Boeing BV-234 Chinook P2-CHK is going to be dismantled and put on a ship to Papa New Guinea.
Hi All, this Chinook arrived by ship into Melbourne early in the week and ferried to Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. Sistership P2-CHJ was also noted in Australia a couple of weeks prior ferrying Brisbane to Port Moresby.
Hi Stephen,
ReplyDeleteDo you know if this Chinook is still at LGB Airport?
That machine flew out of Cairns at around mid day today - tracked East as far as I could tell.
