A Look Back at April

Wednesday 1-6-2010

USA Jet's first MD-83, N949NS (c/n 53022) arrived as JUS949 from Tuscaloosa Rgnl (KTCL) at 1:16pm and parked at Signature. The plane brought in Alabama fans for the BCS Championship game and is painted all white.

Friday 11-6-09

Allegiant Air MD-83 N871GA (c/n 53296/1937) ferried in from Mc Carran Intl (KLAS) as AAY4402 at 8:00am. The plane departed at 8:59am to Grand Canyon Arpt (KGCN) as AAY4403 with a group of japanese tourests.

Saturday 8-29-09

Four F/A-18 Hornets belonging to VMA-232, the Red Devils arrived at 12:05pm and parked at Signature. Two planes departed at at 12:45pm and the second two departed at 1:15pm.

Allegiant Air MD-83 N866GA arrived as AAY4291 at 7:57pm from Helena Rgnl (KHLN). The plane ferried to McCarran Intl (KLAS) as AAY4929 at 8:35pm.

Tuesday 6-23-09

Allegiant Air MD-83 N879GA arrived from Reno/Tahoe Intl (KRNO) as AAY6231 at 7:15pm. The plane departed back to Reno/Tahoe Intl (KRNO) as AAY6232 at 8:25pm.

The control tower lost all power and radar from a short period at 7:30pm but everything was back online just prior to 8pm. No flights or aircraft movments were affected.

Thursday 5-21-09

Allegiant Air MD-83 N871GA arrived as AAY5214 from San Diego Intl (KSAN) at 9:10pm. The plane ferried to Sacramento Intl (KSMF) as AAY5215 at 9:50pm.

Sunrider Corp MD-87 N168CF departed to Petropavlovsk-Yelizovo (UHPP) in Russia at 1:38pm.

Allegiant Air MD-83 N880GA arrived as AAY5041 from Laughlin/Bullhead Intl (KIFP) at 3:50pm. The plane ferried back to Laughlin/Bullhead Intl (KIFP) as AAY5042 at 4:30pm.

Gulfstream G-IV N889TC arrived from McClellan-Palomar (KCRQ) at 6:07pm and parked at Gulfstream.

Gulfstream G-III N357KM arrived from Centennial (KAPA) at 8:58pm and parked at Gulfstream.

Monday 12-29-08

Sun Country Airlines 737-8Q8 N809SY arrived from Harrisburg Int'l (KMDT) as SCX8800 at 10:02am bringing in Penn State fans for the Rose Bowl college football game. The plane departed at 11:00am to Minneapolis/St Paul Intl (KMSP) as SCX8800.

Allegiant Air MD-83 N891GA arrived as AAY5292 from San Diego Intl (KSAN) at 1:40pm. The plane departed as AAY5293 to Laughlin/Bullhead Intl (KIFP) at 3:15pm.

NetJets Gulfstream G-IV(SP) N424QS arrived from San Jose Int'l (KSJC) at 4:32pm and parked at Gulfstream.

Sunday 12-14-08

Allegiant Air MD-83 N864GA arrived from IFP as AAY5143 at 3:38pm. The plane ferried back to IFP at 4:11pm as AAY5144.

Boeing 737-400 N37NY arrived from SLN at 4:25pm and parked at Airflite. The plane was carrying the New York Ranger hockey team and started out at HPN but had to make a fuel stop at SLN. The plane is now wearing white with a green belly and a gold cheatline just below the window line. The top area of the tail is green with a gold cheatline just below the green. The plane departed to PHX at 5:22pm to pick up the New York Knicks basketball team.

Alaska Airlines 737-800 N585AS arrived from SEA as ASA544 at 5:18pm. This plane wears the hawaiian lei on the tail below the eskimo. The plane departed back to SEA as ASA545 at 6:15pm.

Thursday 12-11-08

Allegiant Air MD-83 N864GA arrived from IFP as AAY5114 at 5:45pm. The plane departed back to IFP as AAY5115 at 6:56pm.

Saturday 12-6-08

Allegiant Air MD-83 N864GA arrived from IFP as AAY5064 at 6pm. The plane departed back to IFP as AAY5065 at 8pm.

Monday 9-1-08

Allegiant Air MD-83 N872GA arrived as AAY5011 from IFP at 3:52pm. The plane departed as AAY5012 at 4:47pm and ferried to LAS.

2 F/A-18C Hornets from the VMFA-314 Black Knights departed LGB at 3:26pm.

The McChord C-17a that was parked by the tower departed at 4:45pm.

Allegiant Air MD-83 N864GA arrived at AAY5291 from IFP at 6:32pm. The plane departed back to IFP at 8:28pm as AAY5292.

Northwest Airlines Boeing 757-251 N552NW ferried in as NWA9824 from PHX at 2pm. They picked up the Minnesota Twins baseball team and departed to BFI as NWA9988 at 5:05pm.

Allegiant Air MD-83 N865GA arrived as AAY5244 from IFP at 6:50pm. The plane departed back to IFP as AAY5245 at 8:16pm.

Swift Air 737-4B7 N801TJ arrived as SWQ801 from BFI at 8pm carrying the Oakland A's baseball team. The plane parked at Signature and ferried to SMF as SWQ801 at 9:05pm.

Sunday 8-10-08

Allegiant Air operated in a charter tonight. MD-83 N865GA arrived as AAY5104 from IFP at 6:55pm. The plane departed back to IFP as AAY5105 at 8:03pm.

United States Coast Guard Gulfstream C-37(G550) 01 arrived at 9pm and parked at Gulfstream.

Sunday 7-20-08

Gulfstream G550 N709DW arrived from SDM at 5:10pm and parked at Gulfstream.

Continental Airlines 737-824(W) arrived as COA1901 from SEA at 8:25pm and parked at Signature. They dropped off the Cleveland Indians baseball team. The plane departed at 9:20pm as COA1933 to ONT.

Alaska Airlines MD-83 N977AS had a fuel leak on the left wing and did not depart and will remain overnight. MD-83 N944AS arrived at 9:20pm from SEA as AS548 and departed with the stranded passengers at 10:27pm as AS545 back to SEA.
